Over time there will be numerous campaigns that clinics will be able to pick from. We are continually building a database of useful queries that clinics would like to automate. Please click the headings below to read the campaign details.

  • Purpose:

    To send a nice personalised welcome Newsletter to a newly added client to your database. This email may have a welcome message and describe the services the clinic provides, emergency procedures, puppy pre-school, Loyalty Program Information and possibly an incentive to come back for a second visit, etc. The content is fully controlled by the clinic. We recommend that the email be designed professionally.

    Newsletter (VETLINKSQL Marketing Flag - N: Newsletter)

  • Business Logic:

    Works every night and sweeps the web data back 30 days to find any new clients added. It sends this personalised email if a client qualifies and has “Newsletter” option ticked/set in the Email section in the marketing tab in VETLINKSQL. The 30 day scan is a safety net and caters for any breakdown on web data synchronisation off the clinic server to the web portal.

  • Tip:

    Make sure that all clients have “Newsletter” ticked in VETLINKSQL under Email / SMS / Letter. Call the helpdesk if you require assistance and they can write a script to tick everyone once you start. It is very important that you go to each Client Profile Type in VETLINKSQL and set this flag so that any new clients added with have the flags automatically set. You can find this in VETLINKSQL under PickList/Client/Profiles – make sure you check all profile types.

  • Purpose:

    To send a nice personalised welcome Newsletter to a newly added Cat to your database for an existing client. This email may have a welcome message and describe the “How to Look After” a cat and other services about the Loyalty Program and possibly an incentive to come back for a second visit, etc. The content is fully controlled by the clinic. We recommend that the email be designed professionally.

    Newsletter (VETLINKSQL Marketing Flag - N: Newsletter)

  • Business Logic:

    Works every night and sweeps the web data back 30 days to find any new cats added. It sends this personalised email if a client qualifies and has “Newsletter” option ticked/set in the Email section in the marketing tab in VETLINKSQL. The 30 day scan is a safety net and caters for any breakdown on web data synchronisation off the clinic server to the web portal. It will also check and send only one Newsletter even if multiple cats were on the same date.

  • Selectable Options:

    Age range can be used to create different templates / content for Kitten / Adult / Geriatric Campaigns.

  • Tip:

    If you decide in your “New Client Newsletter” to “Don’t Send”, then if they qualify for this "New Cat" campaign, you may want to repeat some of the information you have in the “New Client” information email as they will not be getting that as well. We recommend sending both and splitting the information so they are complementary; one describing the clinic and the other, the cat. Make sure that all clients have “Newsletter” ticked in VETLINKSQL under Email. Call the helpdesk if you require assistance and they can write a script to tick everyone once you start. It is very important that you go to each Client Profile Type in VETLINKSQL and set this flag so that any new clients added with have the flags automatically set. This email may have a welcome message and describe the “How to Look After” a Dog and other services about the Loyalty Program and possibly an incentive to come back for a second visit, etc. The content is fully controlled by the clinic. We recommend that the email be designed professionally.

    Newsletter (VETLINKSQL Marketing Flag - N: Newsletter)

  • Business Logic:

    Works every night and sweeps the web data back 30 days to find any new dogs added. It sends this personalised email if a client qualifies and has “Newsletter” option ticked/set in the Email section in the marketing tab in VETLINKSQL. The 30 day scan is a safety net and caters for any breakdown on web data synchronisation off the clinic server to the web portal. It will also check and send only one Newsletter even if multiple dogs were on the same date.

  • Selectable Options:

    Age range can be used to create different templates / content for Puppy / Adult / Geriatric Campaigns.

  • Tip:

    If you decide in your “New Client Newsletter” to “Don’t Send” , then if they qualify for this "New Dog" campaign, you may want repeat some of the information you have in the “New Client” information email as they will not be getting that as well.   • Purpose:

    To send a personalised Reminder Newsletter to a Cat that has just turned “X” years old. “X” could be say 7 years. This email is targeted towards cats getting older and the content may want to offer some special services such as a “combo” including blood tests, weight check, etc. It may also want to promote the virtues of regular checkups and compare cat years to human years in terms of health-check intervals. We recommend that the email be designed professionally.

  • Mailer / Unsub Category:

    Health Care (VETLINKSQL Marketing Flag - H: HealthCare)

  • Business Logic:

    Works every night and sweeps the web data back 30 days to find any Cats that are not deceased/inactive, have reached “X” years and over, and HAVE NOT PURCHASED certain Products or Services within the LAST “X” days. It sends this personalised email if a client qualifies and has “Reminder” option ticked/set in the Email section in the marketing tab in VETLINKSQL. The 30 day scan is a safety net and caters for any breakdown on web data synchronisation off the clinic server to the web portal. It will send one Newsletter per cat, even if multiple cats were in the same household. Each patient is treated as an individual as the email will be personalised.

  • Tip:

    Make sure that all clients have “Health Care” ticked in VETLINKSQL under Email / SMS / Letter. Also make sure you enter the Products and Services that you are promoting in case the target has already visited and taken up that service within the last “X” days.     To automate sending of nice personalised “Happy Birthday” email to Cats on or just before their birthdays. The content of the email is totally your choice but we expect some sort of offer would be prudent to mark the day. We expect that smart practices with good relationship with their Vendors may seek financial or product assistance for this campaign from the likes of Flea, Worming, and Pet Food companies. Even a cute little toy would drive them back to the clinic! We recommend that the email be designed professionally. We have a sample template to show what is possible.

  • Mailer / Unsub Category:

    Promotion (VETLINKSQL Marketing Flag – P: Promotion)

  • Business Logic:

    Works once a week and sweeps the web data back 30 days to find any Cats that are having their birthday soon and are not deceased/inactive, and have visited within last “X” days. It sends this personalised email if a client qualifies and has the “Promotions” option ticked/set in the Email section in the marketing tab in VETLINKSQL. The 30 day scan is a safety net and caters for any breakdown on web data synchronisation off the clinic server to the web portal. It will send one email per cat; each patient is treated as an individual as the email will be personalised.

  • Selectable Options:

    Age range can be used to create different templates / content for Kitten / Adult / Senior Cat as well as marking a maximum age limit for Seniors, so unrealistically aged cats do not receive these email (they are probably already deceased but your database is still not updated).

  • Tip:

    Make sure that all clients have “Promotion” ticked in VETLINKSQL under Email / SMS / Letter. Call the helpdesk if you require assistance and they can write a script to tick everyone once you start. It is very important that you go to each Client Profile Type in VETLINKSQL and set this flag so that any new clients added with have the flags automatically set. You can find this in VETLINKSQL under PickList/Client/Profiles – make sure you check all profile types. Simply un-tick the Promotions Flag for an individual client as they request to unsubscribe from the Promotions email List.

  • Purpose:

    To automate sending of nice personalised “Happy Birthday” email to Dogs on or just before their birthdays. The content of the email is totally your choice but we expect some sort of offer would be prudent to mark the day. It will send one email per dog; each patient is treated as an individual as the email will be personalised.

  • Selectable Options:

    Age range can be used to create different templates / content for Puppy / Adult / Senior / Super Dog as well as marking a maximum age limit for Seniors, so unrealistically aged dogs do not receive these email (they are probably already deceased but your database is still not updated).
