SMS Conversation with Staff and Client
Released
While we have been “listening” for replies from clients regarding appointment confirmations and then updating the status, ad-hoc TXTs and marketing “broadcast” TXTs for offers and Vaccination/Dental reminders, etc have been ignored. This feature will now capture any replies and create a one-to-one “conversation” inside VETLINKSQL and file these under the clients’ Document Manager system! So now VETLINKSQL will almost mimic a cell phone! In fact it will be even smarter with full audit trails! Watch this space for even more cool stuff in future!

IDEXX Integration
Released
IDEXX is a market leader in the area of Laboratory Services. It supplies in-house testing machines that produce results from samples taken at consult time. VETLINKSQL can now connect to these devices and import data electronically as real data values (not text). This means that VETLINKSQL can in fact analyse this data and highlight out of range values in colour. The stored data will then also be able to be used in the marketing module to identify patients where high levels of care and regular re-testing as well as new treatments can be offered.

Diary Upgrade
Released
The VETLINKSQL diary system has been upgraded and enhanced with many new features and speed improvements. Some new features include;
- Coloured Appointment Borders - Diary reasons can be assigned colours which show as a coloured border around an appointment. This is great for quickly identifying treatments or procedures that you will be performing on a day at a glance.
- Diary Flags - Client groups can be assigned coloured flags that will display on appointments and at billing. Groups can be assigned manually or automatically by VETLINKSQL based on the user’s own sales/profit/visit formula/criteria. This is an exceptionally powerful feature where clients are automatically graded each evening.
- Lock Colours – Locked areas on the diary can now be assigned a coloured border to quickly show what the lock is for. Eg. a blue border may indicate a lunch break or a yellow border may indicate a meeting.
- Right Click Lock - Locks can be quickly added to a staff member by right clicking in the staff member’s column. They can then be “dragged” and “dropped” to different times.
- Email Outlook/Google Calendar Integration – When an appointment reminder is sent out from VETLINKSQL, its format is such that if the user presses the “save” option on their side, an appointment is made in their calendar automatically.
- Ruler - A ruler can be used on the diary that draws a line across the diary page to easily identify appointment times on the right hand side of the diary.
-
Gridlines - Gridlines on the diary can be shown in increments of 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes intervals. This will allow clinics with 10 minute appointments to have the appointment box sit aligned to the horizontal grid lines perfectly.

Staff appointments and messages can be sent by SMS from the diary. This is perfect for large animal vets who may want their calls sent directly to their mobile phone. It is also a good tool for vets that may start an afternoon shift and want to know their workload for the day. In the future, we expect that the appointment TXT will be integrated to the PDA billing project that is currently under development for large animal vets.

Green Practice
Released
As more and more practices move to reduce their carbon foot print, VETLINKSQL is adapting to these requests by giving users options to reduce paper consumption. Once a bill is finished, the question to PRINT a receipt will extend from a YES/NO question to YES / NO/ EMAIL. When the email option is selected, the user will be required to validate the email address on file, or request one if absent (the cunning plan.....). A PDF will automatically be generated and sent to the user by VETLINKSQL. No PDF creator licenses are required – VETLINKSQL will do the lot! With these receipts and email/TXT Appointment and Vaccination reminders, you will certainly be a GREEN Practice!
